Live Music at The Gardening Club
The Gardening Club (formerly The Rock Garden Venue) has seen over 30,000 signed & un-signed bands perform live on stage throughout its 30 year history.
Some have gone on to sell out stadiums, others have returned to their day jobs, but all have played with passion and enthusiasm to large & small crowds and all have contributed to the long & colourful history of this intimate & well loved music venue.
U2 performed their first ever London gig at The Rock Garden, playing to no more than 30 music industry scouts, & Dire Straits held a weekly residency here for a few months only weeks before they became megastars and hit the big time. The list is endless, with the likes of Talking Heads, Iron Maiden, The Smiths, The Stranglers & The Police all making appearances, and like the hundreds of other bands that also performed at that time, all were almost unknown when they performed with us.
